The short version

This site sets no cookies, therefore shows no cookie banner, uses no advertising trackers and has no contact form. There are no accounts, no newsletters and no third-party embeds; even the videos are hosted on the site's own server. What remains is listed here in full.

Hosting (Vercel)

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you open a page, Vercel processes the data your browser sends by necessity: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, and browser and device type. These server logs are needed to deliver the site and fend off attacks; they are deleted automatically.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in serving the site securely and quickly. A data processing agreement is in place with Vercel; where data is transferred to the USA, it happens under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Audience measurement (Vercel Analytics)

Vercel Analytics measures how the site is read. It sets no cookies and builds no cross-device profiles. It records page views with country of origin, referrer, and browser, operating system and device type. Visitors are distinguished only by a short-lived hash computed from the request; the IP address is not stored. Recognition beyond a day is not possible.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in learning which pages get read.

Chat (Kundry)

The site has a chat assistant called Kundry. It loads only when you open it. What you type is sent, together with matching passages from this website, to xAI (X.AI LLC, 1450 Page Mill Road, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA), where the answer is generated. Without that transfer the chat cannot answer.

Neither your questions nor the answers are stored on this website. There are no accounts, no history and no transcripts; the conversation lives in your browser window and is gone when you close it. To limit abuse the server briefly counts requests per visitor. For that the IP address is reduced to a short code that cannot be reversed, is held in memory only, and expires within a day at the latest.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in answering questions about our own content and in keeping the service usable and not abusable. The transfer to the USA happens under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. What xAI does with the content is set out in their privacy policy. Please do not type anything into the chat that you would not hand to a provider in the USA; for anything personal, the email address above is the right way.

Contact by email

If you write to me, I process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or (1)(b) where the exchange leads towards a contract. Messages are kept for as long as the conversation requires.

Phone and WhatsApp

The contact page carries a phone number and a link to WhatsApp. The link is an ordinary link to wa.me; merely viewing the page transfers nothing to WhatsApp and loads no script from there. Only when you click it does WhatsApp open, and the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. and Meta applies from that point.

If you call or write on WhatsApp, I process your number and the content of your message in order to answer, exactly as with an email. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or (1)(b). If you would rather not involve a US service, use the email address or the phone.

External links

The site links out to the products it presents and to their social media channels. If you follow such a link, that site's own privacy policy applies; merely viewing this website transfers no data to those providers.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). An email to the address above is enough.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
