Find My Seidla

An independent guide to Franconian beer culture: breweries, Bierkeller, hiking routes, beer styles, Kärwa and travel planning. For people coming here, and for people who live here and want to know it properly.

The front page: six entry points, from brewery to Kärwa.findmyseidla.de

The directory carries Franconia's active breweries, plus Bierkeller, brewery hikes, beer styles and Kärwa culture. Entry points are sorted by occasion rather than alphabetically: a town, a region, a hike, a season.

[WARUM · LUIS] 420 characters

Sample text at the intended length. Three or four sentences on how Find My Seidla came about: what was missing for you, what you first did by hand, and when it became clear this would turn into something. Concrete, in your own words, no marketing voice.

Why you built Find My Seidla. Nothing public on the site states a motive, so nothing is written here.

  • What was missing for you as someone who moved to Franconia?
  • Why a guide and not a list?
  • When did it become clear that locals were reading it too?
[EINBLICK · LUIS] 420 characters

Sample text at the intended length. This is where the one thing you want to share publicly goes, technical or creative. Three or four sentences: what the problem was, how you solved it, and what surprised you. Enough substance that a peer nods, and short enough that nobody drops out.

One technical or creative insight you want to share publicly. None of it may come from the repo, only what you choose to tell.

  • Where does the data on 300 plus breweries come from, and how do you keep it current?
  • How do you explain Kärwa and Seidla without sounding like a dictionary?
  • Why three languages, and what changes beyond the words?

For newcomers
A dedicated entry point explains the words first: a Seidla is usually half a litre, a Bierkeller is often not a cellar but a seasonal outdoor tap, a Kärwa is a village or church fair.
Three languages
German, English and Spanish. The site explicitly addresses visitors who do not read German.
Merch
There is a small separate shop at shop.findmyseidla.de.
